The Corporate Executive Board Announces New Information Technology Practice Leadership

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 4, 2004--The Corporate Executive Board Company (CEB) (NASDAQ: EXBD) announced today that Glenn Tobin has joined the company as Executive Director with responsibility for CEB's Information Technology Practice. Mr. Tobin is the former Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Cerner Corporation and Chief Executive Officer of Cerner, United Kingdom. Mr. Tobin will assume management, growth and thought leadership for CEB's Information Technology Practice, which serves Chief Information Officers, heads of applications and seniormost infrastructure executives at leading enterprises worldwide. He will also join the CEB Executive Committee.

While at Cerner Corporation, Mr. Tobin was most recently the Executive Vice President & Chief Executive Officer of Cerner United Kingdom. He also served as Executive Vice President & Chief Operations Officer from 1998 through 2003, where he was responsible for most of the company's day to day operations. During his tenure, the company grew from $244 million in revenues to $844 million across six years. Prior to Cerner, Mr. Tobin worked at McKinsey & Company, both in Belgium and Washington, DC. His work focused extensively on the technology and health care sectors. Clients included software providers, IT service companies, HMOs and pharmaceutical companies with issues ranging from growth to IT strategy to operational effectiveness. Mr. Tobin also has master's and doctorate degrees from Harvard University.
