|The Corporate Executive Board Announces New European Leadership|
WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 19, 2004--The Corporate Executive Board Company (CEB) (Nasdaq/NM:EXBD) announced today that Eric Beinhocker, a former partner at McKinsey & Company and a Senior Advisor to McKinsey's Global Strategy Practice, has joined the company as Executive Director of Europe. Mr. Beinhocker will join the Executive Committee of the CEB and assume management of all European operations. In addition, Mr. Beinhocker will play a key thought leadership role in the Strategy and Research & Development Practice, which serves the heads of strategy and planning and research and development at leading corporations worldwide. While at McKinsey & Company, Mr. Beinhocker worked on projects for leading European companies on issues ranging from M&A to strategy development. He was a leader of McKinsey's Global Strategy Practice and is a recognized authority on strategy, economics and complex adaptive systems theory. Mr. Beinhocker is the author of numerous articles, several Harvard Business School case studies, and is completing a book titled "The Origin of Wealth: How Evolution Creates Novelty, Knowledge and Growth in the Economy," forthcoming from Harvard Business School Press and Random House in early 2005.
Prior to McKinsey, Mr. Beinhocker was a venture capitalist with Summit Partners, where he served on the boards of directors of several technology companies, and was a co-founder and CEO of a start-up software company, Fulcrum Technologies, Inc.
