Benefits Roundtable Launches My Benefits Coach(TM)

Online Resource Helps Save Organizations up to $1,350 Per Enrollee

                               Per Year

ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 27, 2008--The Corporate Executive Board's (NASDAQ: EXBD) Benefits Roundtable, a leading provider of benefits best practices, decision-support services, and executive education, today announced the launch of My Benefits Coach(TM), an interactive online training resource designed to help health plan enrollees make better decisions as they use health care.

A recent survey of 16,000 health plan enrollees conducted by the Roundtable identified a wide range of problems that lead to poor decision-making. For instance, 64% of enrollees experienced "decision paralysis" caused by the complexity of the health care system, and 70% fail to cover important topics such as health history or treatment risks and alternatives.

Based on these findings the Roundtable designed My Benefits Coach(TM) as a unique tool to target four underlying challenges to effectively using health care services:

1) Understanding how health insurance works
2) Effectively partnering with providers
3) Using health information available online
4) Managing long-term health and wellness

Managing Director Michal Kisilevitz says, "More than 40 percent of health plan cost increases are the result of individual enrollee decisions, and by addressing these four challenges we can help lower costs, saving as much as $1,350 per enrollee."

My Benefits Coach(TM) gives users a short quiz to assess their benefits knowledge, then sends them to specific training modules which address those knowledge gaps, such as "Partnering With Your Provider" or "Searching in the Right Places." This diagnosis-and-deliver methodology allows the Coach to contain well over an hour's worth of material, yet only deliver the 10 to 20 minutes that will be most relevant to a particular enrollee.

Top companies within the Roundtable's membership are already making plans to implement My Benefits Coach(TM). Several plan to make the Coach a part of their fall Open Enrollment process, including it in their early communications to help prepare enrollees to make their plan decisions. Others are integrating the Coach into their Employee Health and Wellness Portals, or even making the Coach the central gateway to their other health and wellness resources by including links to plan selection, provider identification, and risk prevention resources across the Coach's modules.
