Corporate Executive Board Announces Executive Insight Conference: ''Managing Through Turbulent Times'' Featuring Greenspan and Gladwell, October 22-24 in Chicago

Conference Will Offer Sixty Sessions in Four Simultaneous

Functional Tracks: Finance, IT, HR and Sales and Marketing

WASHINGTON & LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 19, 2007--The Corporate Executive Board (NASDAQ: EXBD), a leading provider of best practices research and analysis focused on corporate strategy, operations, and general management issues, today announced its Executive Insight Conference (EIC) will be held October 22-24, 2007 in Chicago at McCormick Place Convention Center. The conference will focus on leading practices for "Managing Through Turbulent Times" and will feature addresses by Malcolm Gladwell, author of Blink and The Tipping Point, and Dr. Alan Greenspan, former Federal Reserve Chairman and author of the recently-published The Age of Turbulence: Adventures in a New World.

Today's growth challenges demand both functional excellence and a cross-functional understanding of issues. CEB has tapped its considerable assets in best practice research and business analysis to create over sixty educational sessions that are current and relevant to today's market conditions. Subject matter experts will use case studies and panel discussions to offer useful tools that attendees can immediately put to use to help grow their businesses.

The two-day event will feature four simultaneous functional conferences, allowing attendees to customize their experience by selecting from over sixty sessions across offerings in Human Resources, Finance, Sales and Marketing, and Information Technology. Participants may select to focus on a single functional track or mix-and-match to gain a broader cross-functional understanding of key change management challenges.

Other conference speakers will include senior executives from Caterpillar Inc., Electronic Arts Inc., Evercore Partners, FedEx Corp., Johnson Controls, Inc., Schneider Electric, Nortel Networks and Tiffany's.

Thomas L. Monahan, III, CEO of the Corporate Executive Board commented, "It's now clear that turbulence in the capital markets is having a sudden, challenging impact on corporate budgeting and planning for 2008. Of particular importance in such a volatile economy will be the ability of executives to ensure that their own function performs to a very high standard and that gaps between corporate functional priorities don't impede their organization's response. Leveraging CEB's 25 years of service to more than 80% of the Fortune 500, and thousands of smaller companies, the Executive Insight Conference will help executives understand best practices for finance, marketing, IT and HR, as well as identify how these best practices can, together, form an integrated strategy for managing change."
